The AutoSource Legacy
In 1996, a family from Chicago created a 4-color used vehicle photo classified magazine called AutoFocus Chicago. In just over 5 years, Autofocus Chicago grew from approximately 1000 weekly vehicle photos to over 11,000 weekly vehicle photos in 2002. They built an organization of extraordinary individuals who shared their mission and vision: "Providing The Best Resource For Consumers to Shop For Cars" while at the same time "Always Making Our Customers #1." These values, combined with sheer determination to make Autofocus Chicago the largest single-market used vehicle advertising product in North America.
In 2002, Detroit was introduced to the concept of 4-color used photo classified advertising and within 8 months, Autofocus Detroit dominated the market and became the #1 automotive advertising magazine. Soon afterwards, similar products in both Green Bay, WI and Jacksonville, FL were created and quickly each became the #1, 4-color used photo classified magazines in their respective markets.
In February 2004, some of the family members who created Autofocus Chicago, Autofocus Detroit, AutoPlus Green Bay and AutoPics Jacksonville went to Milwaukee and Madison, Wisconsin. AutoGuide Milwaukee/Madison was introduced and like its predecessors, became the #1, 4-color used vehicle advertising product from Fond du Lac to Kenosha and from Milwaukee to Madison.
